Dans un atelier brut, une bulle de savon émerge d’un filament doré. Puis une autre.
Une série fragile se crée, grandit. Certaines éclatent immédiatement, d’autres tiennent quelques secondes. Beaucoup échouent avant de naître..
Et puis quelques unes s’envolent, et atteignent l’hors champs de la scène, presque inesperées.
Comme son nom l’indique, Work in progress se regarde en boucle. Elle essaie de capturer la délicatesse du presque fini mais jamais terminé : le travail infini de recherche de beauté ou d’une vérité de l’artiste dans son atelier.
Ce travail a été réalisé en collaboration avec l’artiste Léa Mayer durant la résidence chez Welchrome.

In a rough studio, a soap bubble emerges from a golden filament. Then another. A fragile series develops, grows. Some burst immediately or after a few seconds. Many failures. Others take off and disappear out of the frame. A scene displaying as many attempts as the artist working in his studio.
Untitled (Work in progress) runs in a loop. As the name suggests, it tries to capture the delicacy of the almost finished but never really complete; the endless research work of a beauty or a truth.
This work was realised in collaboration with the artist Léa Mayer during the residency at Welchrome.
